Expected results of the conference.

We plan to welcome some 300 participants from all relevant fields and professions. The conference is expected to bring a cross-section of policymakers, Civil society organizations and NGOs working on gender equality and women’s empowerment, Academia, and Researchers in the field of gender studies, Development Practitioners and Professional Associations, Gender equality advocates and activists, Representatives from International Organizations, Diplomatic Missions, and Donor agencies, Students and youth activists will all be in attendance at the conference.


The conference is expected to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Increased awareness and understanding of gender equality issues in Developing Economies and the role of women and girls in national development.
  • Identification of best practices and innovative approaches for promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in Developing Economies.
  • Enhanced collaboration and networking among stakeholders working towards gender equality in Developing Economies.
  • Development of actionable recommendations for policymakers, practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in Developing Economies.
  • Dissemination of conference proceedings and recommendations through various channels, including publications and online platforms.
  • Finally, the participants’ feedback will be used to develop a comprehensive programme for gender equality and empowerment of women in Ghana in collaboration with other interested parties and groups.
